Wind

Sand Sand and more Sand
We had one heck of a wind storm hit today.

The top picture is looking towards the back of the property, you can hardly see the pump jack that is back there. The picture in the middle is looking towards downtown, but all you can really see is the dust and the sun. The final picture, is looking down the road that runs down the property, you cant see too far in front of the car.

When I took these pictures, the wind was gusting up to 50, everything that was not nailed down was going flying, and even somethings that were nailed down.

Not sure???

I found this on the property, I am not sure what it was, but I thought it was interesting, to find something like this. He is not in good shape. Not sure what to do with him, leave him right were he is (try to at least), or what???

Winter Snow

Here are some pictures of the snow that we got on December 4th. It did not snow too much just enough to cover the ground with white stuff. Cassie had fun playing in it, she put on her little sboes to help protect her feet, and she put on her warm sweatshirt, and had a blast.

Water

Yes we have water. 16 gpm, which is good. I watched the guys put in the the pipe and hook it all up so I may have water. The blue tank is the pressure tank, it will store water in it, so when you are running the water you have a constant flow. Slowly but surly everything is coming together. What's next you ask leveling the land and building a building. I went out this evening and watered some of the grass. I think that is going to be the fun part watching the grass grow. Now that I have water I can do that.

Electricity

We have electricity, I can turn on my water well and start watering my grass. I have a meter, and I should have plenty of juice to run anything that my heart desires.

H TRACK

This is called a H Track, it is were all the electricity will come out of. I am very proud of this, cause it means we are a step closer to getting things hooked up. You can see it is right next to the water well, and then just to the north will be the poll to provide electricity to the H TRACK. I have to thank my electrician for going out and putting this up and also digging a ditch for the electric line. Slowly but surly this is all coming together. After Oncore puts up the pole, I will plant trees.

Water Well House Concrete

Finally have a slab for the Well House. Just need a pump in the water well, a building put up to house the water well stuff, and we shall be good.

Electricity

Oh my how hard is it. I just want electricity on this property, how hard can it be.
Well it is not easy, one person tells you something then the other person tells you something else, and the two things are not matching so who is correct??? It would be nice if just one person did it all for you, so you did not have to call this nuber and this number. oh and while you are on hold one company (TXU) is calling Oncor. Now I am on hold one have more time, just been on the phone for 20 minutes, still have not gotten what I need done. I am going to have a pole from Oncor but as of right now I am not going to have anything to supply me with electricity. Wait good news after over thirty minutes on the phone I think I have found someone to help me. yes after 40 minutes I have a account number. Oh my I feel so good now.

Naming Hoch Hof

Well Hoch Hof is German for High Court. And then if you go on to translate court, it is an area open to the sky and mostly or entirely surrounded by buildings, walls, fence, etc. Which is what it shall be in the end.
See my wonderful father, brought a piece of land east of Midland, and he is going to build a building on it, surround it with a fence and trees, and it is on a high piece of property in the county. So you put those two things together and you get HOCH HOF in German.
